"Everything ain't for Everybody"

So I had to end my affiliation with Angi's Leads, formerly Home Advisor. Won't lie, I jumped on the chance to sign up with them because Electrician U stated they had had Great success with Home Advisor so I thought I could also have some success in getting my name out there. Paid my background check and sent all my information to them to begin the journey. Started off a bit rocky, which would be foretelling. Client had picked me to come give a quote for some residential work but the address didn't seem right because I Knew the area.

When I arrived, was a full on Big, Unfinished commercial job. They had wanted me to just "take on" the now-defaulted permit as the last contractor had left them high and dry so all the "electricians" couldn't work without a valid permit--as well as licensed journeymen because I Knew the scope of this job, one Journeyman would Not be enough to keep the required ratio for apprentices. I know a setup when I see it, and this was Definitely it. I would eventually tell them I had to respectively pass and would tell Angi's what happened because that One Lead cost me $75. They credited me but for the First Lead to go that way already was a warning sign.

Thankfully, I did get Some great leads for which would be permanent clients. However, the rate of which I was getting "leads" for clients who weren't even needing an electrician was just eventually too much of a hassle. Angi's tried making it right but I had gotten just fed up from the lost time more than the lost money so I had to end my affiliation because it just wasn't improving.

So, a little after I had began with Angi's, I had gotten a call from the Better Business Bureau but I never called them back. They called me again and talked with me to tell me the benefits and costs of joining their program so now I'm a member of the Better Business Bureau. So if you need to request me, that's one more avenue you can find me! Hopefully I can have success there so my name and brand can truly grow. I already have one review listed under the BBB and I'm working on having more after this week!
